It has been a matter of great pride and privilege that we have had the opportunity of restoring our ancestral home.

Umaidnagar fort 40 Km from Jodhpur was build by Kavirajji the Prime Minister of Marwar State in 1760 AD. Ironically by a law initiated by him, attactched his property to the state of Marwar. Initially called Dhakai Village, the village name was changed to Uamidnagar by my grandfather, when his sister married H.H Maharaja Umaid Singhji of Jodhpur ( Marwar ).

The most charming section of the fort that has four large suites and an atrium hall have been meticulously restored to their former glory.
Umaidnagar fort continues to be our residence, where we often entertain family and friends.

In 2006 we opened our residence to the discerning traveler. The property serves best as a private villa.

Umaidnagar offers you all of todays luxuries in an Authentic 18th Century setting.

My family and I would be delighted to have you stay at our fort in Umaidnagar.

I look forward  to welcoming you.
